River Momma lives in deep rivers, way down in those places where the water is tranquil, still and achingly blue.

Sometimes she comes to the surface and combs her long black hair. Do not look at her, there's no telling what she will do.

If you swim, try to catch her fish, and do not pay her alms, you may pay with your life.

I will teach you how to appease River Mumma in a way that can grant unfettered access to her healing waters and powers.

If your heart remains true, this river goddess can confer spiritual wisdom, healing, beauty, fertility, and wealth.

• Bathe in the river with medicinal bushes to heal what ales you

 I am uniquely qualified to host this experience because culturally and spiritually I am part of River Mumma's legacy.

 As a child, two children drowned in the river I used to bathe and catch fish in. I started taking the alms I had to pay to Mumma River more seriously.

 When the adults tried to catch her for taking the life of a treasured son, the river dried up and the fish disappeared.

When I pay alms I ask for the forgiveness of the people from my village and ask her to return, she has not come yet.

 But the more devotions she receives, the more devotees that help her protect the rivers, fish, and women the happier she will be thus making our cleanest hearts' desires come true.
